The three-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle on the Mosquito First Nation earlier this week has died.

RCMP say the child succumbed to her injuries Friday morning in hospital.

The girl was hit by a vehicle on a residential property on the reserve at about 8:30 Tuesday evening.

She was initially taken to the hospital in North Battleford with life-threatening injuries before being transferred by air ambulance to a Saskatoon hospital.

Mounties say a decision has not yet been made on whether charges will be laid in the incident.

Police say the lone male driver of the vehicle was not hurt.

They also say alcohol was not a factor.
