Training camps are over and it’s time for football in northern Saskatchewan.
The Northern Saskatchewan Football League kicks off Tuesday when the Buffalo Narrows Eagles travel to Beauval for a game against the Voyagers.
Kick-off for time is 4 p.m. at English River Field in Beauval.
Northern Lights School Division Superintendent Mark Williment says Buffalo Narrows went unbeaten last season but the team has lost a few players.
“Buffalo Narrows will be without four key players last year who have graduated, so essentially they will be a new team,” he says.
The other game this week will see La Loche travel to Pinehouse on Thursday.
This is the NSFL’s second season and Williment says the league is always looking for new volunteers.
“We are always looking for people to work the sticks, somebody to work the live stream, a photographer and a score and time keeper.”
He says volunteers receive free NSFL clothing.
