Police have arrested a 46-year-old woman after a male was stabbed on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation earlier in the week.
RCMP responded to a call at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night of a 47-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest while in a residence on the reserve.
Police are saying little about the circumstances leading up to the stabbing other than the male and suspect had returned from a gathering and were preparing food in the kitchen when the incident happened.
The victim remains in hospital in Saskatoon.
RCMP arrested Nancy Caroline Turner of Sturgeon Lake early Monday afternoon.
She is charged with one count of aggravated assault and appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday.
Police are not releasing the name of the victim.
Alcohol is considered to be a factor.
