The Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford is expanding.
Plans are in the works to expand the 34,000 square foot facility by another 5,000 square feet.
Construction is already underway with a completion date set for early 2015.
Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority vice-president of corporate affairs Pat Cook says there are a few reasons for the expansion.
“It’s timely, the Gold Eagle Casino needed a bit of a refresh and we just saw it as an opportunity to provide a good renovation to the casino as well as we’ll do a parking lot refresh and we’ll have a formal smoking room in that addition,” she says.
SIGA says the expansion should accommodate sustained growth in business for the next 10 years.
