The investigation continues into a collision near Beauval over the weekend that claimed two lives.
RCMP say it happened early Friday evening on Highway 155, about 15 km south of Beauval.
Mounties say an SUV was attempting to pass another vehicle when it struck an oncoming car. Police also say the car had been swerving after appearing to lose control just prior to the crash.
Road conditions are believed to have been a factor.
The victims, a 50-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, who were the driver and passenger of the car, died at the scene.
The 26-year-old male driver and the one passenger of the SUV were taken to the Beauval Medical Clinic and then to the Ile a la Crosse Hospital with unknown injuries.
