The APTN series Cashing-In began its fourth season last Tuesday.

Cashing-In is a drama about a casino on an Indian reservation and is set on Stonewalker First Nation in southern Manitoba.

Not only is Cashing-In a successful show for the network it was also developed to provide training and mentorship for the Aboriginal crew.

Tina Keeper, a producer on the show, says Cashing-In has allowed Aboriginals to grow in the industry.

“That was really the intent,” says Keeper.  “One part allows us to create this project and learn as you o and the other part allows people to springboard into other projects.

Keeper has been working in television for 20 years and says it is great to see APTN give opportunities for creative Aboriginal minds to succeed in the television industry.

The fourth and final season of Cashing-In will feature six half-hour episodes, adding to the 20 from the previous three seasons.
