The Rural Municipality of Beaver River will be receiving financial support to improve their wastewater infrastructure.

The RM will be receiving $267,216 from both the federal and provincial governments.

The investment is made possible through the Communities Component of the Build Canada Fund.

In a media release, Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River MP Rob Clarke says this funding helps the community meet their infrastructure needs so they can continue to grow and thrive.

Saskatchewan Government Relations Minister Jim Reiter echoed Clarke’s comments saying infrastructure projects improve the quality of life for Saskatchewan residents.

The RM will cover the remaining balance of $801,650 for the improvements.

Beaver River covers a large area in the northwest portion of the province.
