A teenaged boy accused of threatening another youth on a school bus in the La Ronge area yesterday has been released from custody.

The suspect made a court appearance this morning in La Ronge, and will be back in court on March 30 to enter a plea.

He is facing four charges — two counts of possession of a weapon, and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon and uttering threats.

RCMP say a youth with a weapon threatened another student on the school bus after school.

The school bus driver spoke to the suspect after being told of the alleged threat by the other youth — but the suspect fled the bus on foot during the conversation.

He was later found and arrested by La Ronge RCMP.

No one was hurt.

Investigators have not said where the incident took place.
