Edmonton Police are asking the public to assist to locate a high-risk sexual offender originally from Pinehouse.
Thirty-three-year-old Ashton Natomagan has been wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for parole violation since Tuesday when he failed to comply and return to his halfway house.
The public is asked to contact police immediately if they locate Natomagan. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
Natomagan was released from the Grande Cache Institution on Monday after he completed a 61-month sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm.
Natomagan is considered by police to be a sexual offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the community.
He was to reside in the Edmonton area and was to be closely monitored by Correctional Services Canada.
