Potential conservation officers will come to Saskatchewan for the next two years for their training.
The province will host the host the Western Conservation Law Enforcement Academy at the Candle Lake Golf Resort from 2015 to 2017.
The academy is part of a partnership between the western Canadian provinces and the Yukon to have a training program for conservation officers.
The program is funded by provincial and territorial agencies, which cover the $460 thousand dollar cost over the two year span.
Since the inception of the program in 2007 over 44 Saskatchewan conservation officers have been trained and are currently working in the field.
