The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre played host to the 29th Annual La Ronge and Area Career Fair yesterday.
This year’s event featured a new twist with a “Hands on Careers” station where youth could learn about different trades and hands on skills.
“We have nine presenters and they’re instructors/mentors — journeypeople or seasoned professionals that work hands on,” said career fair spokesperson Clarence Neault.
The career fair proved to be successful as over 500 people came through the doors of the JRMCC before noon on Tuesday.
