Seven people have been charged with second degree murder in connection to the killing of a 17-year-old boy in Pelican Narrows over the weekend.
Four of the suspects are still at large.
The victim has been identified as Hilliard Sewap, Jr. He was found in need of medical attention at a reserve home early Saturday morning and was pronounced dead at the local health centre.
The Mounties found the victim after being called to a disturbance at the home.
The three suspects in custody are 19-year-old Marcus Sewap, 22-year-old Cody Drake Custer and 28-year-old Trevor Charles.
The suspects still at large are 20-year-old Robbie Lambert Creed Custer, 18-year-old Brandon Lee Matt McCallum and two young people who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
All of the adult suspects are from Pelican Narrows.
The suspects already in custody were scheduled to make their first court appearances this morning in Pelican Narrows.
