A 35-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 70-year-old man in Melfort.
Early Monday morning, RCMP found the body of Alpheus Burns in his house.
Later that day, RCMP say Candace Gail Moostoos turned herself in and was charged with second-degree murder in relation to Burns’ death.
Moostoos appeared in court this morning and has been remanded until her next court appearance in Melfort on June 16.
An autopsy of Burns’ body is taking place in Saskatoon.
RCMP continue to investigate the incident.
