URGENT MESSAGE FROM CHIEF TAMMY COOK-SEARSON
The Eli fire has now crossed Highway 102 at kilometer 21 just north of La Ronge.
The Highway has been closed and people are going doo-to-door to make sure everyone leaves English Bay, Wadin Bay and Sucker River.
People in those areas must leave immediately.
The Chief says the fire is burning very hot today and all people in English Bay, Wadin Bay and Sucker River must leave the area.
Highway 2 south of La Ronge in the Weyakwin area also remains closed.
