The La Ronge Emergency Operations Centre is confirming the details of a convoy through the La Ronge area.
This is for permanent residents of Stanley Mission, Grandmother’s Bay, Missinipe, Brabant Lake, Southend and the Athabasca basin this evening (Monday July 13).
Residents of these communities are to gather at the access point on Highway 2, just south of the Lac La Ronge area, between 5 pm and 7 pm this evening.
Residents MUST have government-issued ID confirming their residency.
Those with chronic health conditions and young children are not to return at this time.
This convoy is for permanent residents only.
Distant business owners, tourists and visitors are not going to be permitted entry at the access point.
