Two counts of impaired driving causing death have been laid against a 25-year-old man from the Carry the Kettle First Nation.
Adrian Cappo made his first court appearance yesterday in Fort Qu’Appelle.
Cappo is charged in connection with a single vehicle rollover on the reserve on Sunday afternoon.
Two passengers were ejected from a half-ton truck when it left the road and rolled several times.
Both were declared dead at the scene.
The victims have been identified as 21-year-old Cammy Jessica Spencer of Carry the Kettle and 20-year-old Sterling Byron Hotain of Manitoba’s Birdtail Sioux reserve.
The investigation into the accident is continuing and more charges are pending.
