From the Emergency Operations Centre:

As the fire situation in the Lac La Ronge area progresses, local authorities are examining the criteria they must meet in order to lift the evacuation order.

There is still a threat to the three communities of La Ronge, Air Ronge and Lac La Ronge Indian Band, and no date has been considered. However, officials have begun to ask what is needed in order to allow the general re-entry of residents.

The decision must meet all of the following criteria:

Wild Fire Management: Once the fire no longer poses a direct threat to the community.

Health: Smoke in the community will no longer be considered a risk to high priority health individuals; Local Health officials also feel there is no danger posed to high priority health individuals or other repatriated; and Medical services are ready and sufficient supplies/staff exist to support the repatriated residents.

Safe potable water supply in place to support repatriated residents.

Essential Services are available including governance, utilities, 911 and protective services, and community re-entry support is in place.
