A boy accused of killing a Red Earth man this summer is set to seek bail.
Dion Head was found deceased in his home at the end of July.
Ernest McKay and a teen boy have been charged with his murder. They also face a robbery charge for the same incident.
The teen can’t be named due to his age. His bail hearing in Melfort has been set for November 3.
McKay returns to Carrot River court late next week.
Band councillors on Red Earth say they are related to both the victim and the accused.
They’ve said addictions and violence have gone hand in hand in the community – and that this case is no different.
Last month the Cree Nation’s council banned alcohol and drugs on reserve.
