For close to 20 years, the chief of the Osoyoos Indian Band has traveled the conference circuit speaking about Indigenous economic development and business opportunities.
On Thursday, Chief Clarence Louie told an Lloydminster economic partnership conference he was impressed by the city for hanging a banner across one of the streets that welcomed indigenous business.
Louie says he’s seen a lot of changes in the last 20 years since he’s been carrying the economic message – and he’d never seen such a positive banner.
Lloydminster mayor Rob Saunders says the banner represents equal opportunity for everyone to advance in economic initiatives.
Mayor Rob Saunders says Lloydminster is a high-growth region that’s pro-business.
