The 33-year old man charged with the second-degree murder of Karina Wolfe made another court appearance Tuesday morning in Saskatoon.
Jerry Constant stood behind a wall of plexi-glass listening to the judge tell him Legal Aid is still trying to find a lawyer to represent him.
Constant is charged with the murder of Karina Wolfe. She went missing in 2010. Last month, it’s alleged Constant went to police with information about the disappearance of Wolfe.
Days later her remains were found northwest of the city.
At Constant’s first court appearance, a mental health assessment was ordered.
A Crown prosecutor confirms that the psychiatric assessment has determined Constant is fit to stand trial.
During Tuesday’s brief court appearance Wolfe’s mother sat only a few feet away from Constant staring at her daughter’s alleged killer.
After court the family left. declining comment. The next court date is December 22.
