An RCMP officer stationed in northern Saskatchewan has pleaded guilty to sexual assault.
Cst. Randy McKay was charged in October following a complaint regarding a social gathering at a private residence in Dillon last May.
At the time, McKay was posted at the Buffalo Narrows detachment and was suspended with pay last June.
He received a 12-month conditional discharge during a court appearance in Dillon on Thursday.
He must also pay a $100 victim surcharge and must submit a sample of his DNA to a national database of sex offenders.
As a result of a separate investigation into the social gathering, the RCMP disciplined four Mounties for drinking while off-duty on a dry reserve.
