One of three suspects wanted in a violent home invasion on the Muskowekwan First Nation has surrendered to authorities.
Twenty-nine-year-old Vernon Bigsky turned himself in to police today and is currently in police custody.
RCMP say seven people who were disguised, forcibly entered a reserve home the evening of January 17 with steel bars, baseball bats, and a firearm.
Six adults and two children were in the home at the time.
Mounties say significant damage was done to the home, along with a vehicle outside the residence.
Two men inside the house at the time were injured, and were hospitalized and then released.
Four males — aged 29, 22, 16 and 15 — were previously arrested and face a number of charges, including aggravated assault.
Punnichy RCMP are asking for the public’s help in tracking down two other suspects — 30-year-old Shane Wolfe and 19-year-old Jonas McNab.
All of the suspects are from the Muskowekwan First Nation.
