Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a weekend crash that injured four people in Black Lake.

The head-on collision involving a car and half ton truck happened on Highway 905 at the north entrance to the community around 2:00pm Friday.

RCMP say when nursing staff from Black Lake arrived on scene, the male driver of the car had not regained consciousness , and was airlifted to Saskatoon.

A female passenger in the car was also flown to Saskatoon in critical condition.

The female passenger in the pickup was also being airlifted to Saskatoon on Saturday.

The male driver of the truck received minor injuries.

Investigators say the force of the impact separated the car in half.

The RCMP Traffic Analyst was brought to the scene to assist in the investigation.

No names have been released and it is not known if any charges will be laid.
