A teen is no longer in cuffs after being arrested for an armed robbery in La Ronge last week.
Police charged the 16-year-old Brabant Lake boy after two employees at a business on the 900-block of La Ronge Avenue were bear sprayed after 11 p.m. last Monday.
A week later, the teen – whose name is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was released on an undertaking.
The RCMP says the suspect wore a balaclava, stole merchandise, and bear sprayed two employees at the La Ronge business he robbed.
At the time, the two victims were treated and released from hospital.
The teen was in La Ronge court on Monday on charges including robbery, administering a noxious thing, wearing a disguise and assault with a weapon.
In total the boy faces nine criminal charges.
He’s scheduled to be back in court in a few weeks.
