A man accused of trying to kill a Weyakwin woman was visibly limping in Prince Albert court on Monday morning.
Matthew Warren Lavallee, 26, was in court for the first time on the charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder.
The charges stem from an incident where a 22-year-old woman was stabbed just before noon on Saturday in a Weyakwin home.
The victim is recovering from her many wounds in Saskatoon hospital, and on Monday the RCMP stated she’s expected to make a full recovery.
Lavallee was arrested after members of the public helped RCMP officers. They say Lavallee and the victim knew each other.
On Tuesday he’ll appear by video in Prince Albert Court, where a bail hearing is scheduled.
