Classes are set to resume at the La Loche high school on Friday.
Officials with the Northern Lights School Division say registration and a meet and greet for high school students (Grade 10 – 12) will start on Thursday at 8:45am.
Registration and a meet and greet for middle years students (Grade 7-9) will start on Thursday 1:00 p.m.
An RCMP School Resource Officer started today at the Dene Building High School.
A local security company has also been contracted for both the elementary and high Schools. Three people will be at each school.
Students returned to the elementary school for an open house today. The first day of classes will be Wednesday.
The community is organizing a “Reclaiming Our School” walk for tomorrow.
An open house and cultural event for students and community members is also planned.
