Details are sparse on a heated exchange that put the Saskatoon campus of SIIT into lockdown Friday morning,
Around 11 a.m., Saskatoon police were called to a report of a student threatening an instructor at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, which is located on the 200-block of Fourth Avenue South.
When officers found the suspect, they got the unarmed man out of the school and arrested him.
Students were given the rest of the day off after the incident, in which no one was hurt.
The 29-year-old man is charged with uttering threats and mischief. Police say he will appear before a justice of the peace on Friday night.
The province has offered any supports that might be needed in relation to the threats.
