Investigators believe it may have been an accident that claimed the life of a man who whose body was discovered in a burnt car near North Battleford last week.
Last Friday RCMP discovered the remains of a 31 year-old male in the backseat of a burnt car in between North Battleford and Mosquito First Nation on highway 4.
An autopsy was performed on the man yesterday and the forensic pathologist determined his death to be accidental as no evidence of foul play was found.
The RCMP will not be releasing the name of the deceased because the investigation is not considered criminal.
Mounties would also like to thank the public for their assistance as one witness did come forward with information on the incident.
