RCMP in La Ronge have arrested a 17-year-old who was wanted on numerous warrants, this after a detachment-level operation.

The RCMP started the operation in the early morning hours of July 2nd with the help of the Prince Albert Police Dog Service to specifically locate and arrest the accused individual.

The 17 year-old, who cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was wanted on 11 separate warrants, with a total of 30 charges.

RCMP say the operation was a success and resulted in the arrest of the offender, who was located inside a house hiding from police in a crawlspace.

Some of the charges against the accused include resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, break and enter, and possession of property obtained by a crime among other offences.

The teen has been remanded into police custody and is making an appearance in La Ronge Provincial Court today.
