Mounties say one suspect is still at large, considered armed, after a weekend standoff in Green Lake.
Corey O’Neil Bouvier, 27, is from the community, and faces firearm and violence-related offences.
He is 5’9″, First Nations, has a scar on his neck, has a slim build and has brown eyes and dark short hair. His speech may sound hoarse.
This in relation to a tense eight hours for RCMP that started before sun-up on Saturday on the 100-block of Mill Avenue.
Around 5 a.m., police got a call about shots fired in a home where three people might have access to firearms.
The nearby homes were evacuated, Highway 55 was blocked, and reinforcements were brought in before the first arrest was made around 10:45 a.m. The man was in a separate home on the 400-block of Beaver Road, but the arrest was related to the incident.
Two hours later, two men left the home and were arrested without incident.
One of those people won’t be charged, while two other suspects – both from Green Lake – face a long list of charges, including assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, careless uses of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Aaron Roy, 22, and Austin Lafond, 20, were in Meadow Lake court on Monday to face those charges.
Bouvier faces similar charges. The RCMP have not provided a photo of him.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Green Lake RCMP Detachment at (306) 832-4810 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
