Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Environment has launched a new online mapping tool called HABISask.
It includes hunting, angling and bio diversity information and is accessible on mobile devices like smartphones or tablets.
The site offers mapping information and tools based on four map themes.
By selecting one of the themes, HABISask will display respective map layers and provide mapping tools.
The hunting theme includes wildlife management zones, game preserves and conservation officer field offices.
Information for anglers includes water body locations, fish species and special regulations.
Project screening includes rare and endangered species observations and ecological protection specialist districts.
Wildlife viewing includes managed areas, Saskatchewan Bird Atlas and ecoregions.
HABISask can be found at the Government of Saskatchewan maps website.
