For the third time in three weeks, Regina Police have used a taser to subdue a suspect who was threatening harm to police or others.
The latest incident happened yesterday afternoon in a home in east-central Regina.
A 48-year-old man, carrying a large knife in each hand, threatened officers and refused to drop the weapons. He had to be tasered twice before he was disarmed and taken into custody.
Darwin Cote is facing two counts of threatening a peace officer with a weapon.
On November 3rd, police tasered a man who was also armed with a knife and refused to comply with police demands to drop the weapon.
There was a similar incident in late October, but in that case, no weapon was found, although the man indicated he was armed.
