A Sturgeon Lake man accused of sexually assaulting children has been denied bail.
The charges against 22-year-old George Sanderson involve a 13-year-old and 15-year-old. He also accused of making and distributing child pornography. He was arrested last week.
Sanderson nodded at family members in the in Prince Albert Provincial Court gallery when he entered the prisoner’s box for the bail hearing on Thursday. He has a slight build, wore an inmate’s outfit, and has short gelled hair.
His parents, grandmother and other family members were also present in court.
The details of the bail hearing are subject to a publication ban.
At one point while visual evidence was being presented to Judge Irwin, Sanderson had a concerned expression and furrowed brow while looking at family members in the gallery.
Sanderson put his head in his hands in the prisoner’s box and appeared distressed when the bail decision was rendered.
