Eileen Morrison has won re-election as chief of the Buffalo River Dene Nation.

She beat out two other candidates for the top job in elections held last Friday.

One-time Chief Debbie Billette was elected as one of five councilors.

Other successful candidates for council are: Travis Noltcho, Laveena Catarat,  Terrance Byhette and Wesley Sylvester.

All will serve for a two-year term.
