With more than 40,000 views, a video on the dangers of drinking of driving has won the viewer’s choice award in a contest sponsored by SGI.

A dozen entries put together by First Nations high school students were submitted to the Save a Life Campaign.

The top entry was put together by students from the Piapot First Nation, northeast of Regina.

In all, six entries will be awarded prizes of up to 10,000 dollars to be used for driver safety programs on their reserves.

The videos highlighted the tragedy of drinking and driving, distracted driving, speeding and other dangerous practices.
