A two-week jury trial is set for the murder of a Waterhen Lake man.
Tommy Fiddler died in Feb. of 2016 after a shooting on the reserve, and Gordon Fiddler was arrested in the following days.
At the time of Tommy’s death, Mounties said the two men were known to each other.
There has been talk of having a Cree language interpreter on hand at the trial, but a final decision won’t be made for several months.
Gordon has not sought bail since his arrest and his trial is set to start in mid-October at North Battleford’s Court of Queen’s Bench.
