RCMP say the death of an inmate yesterday at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert is considered suspicious.
The Major Crimes Unit is investigating, and an autopsy will be done this week.
Corrections Canada says 37-year-old Christopher Andrew Van Camp died Wednesday morning.
Earlier in the day, 44-year-old Daniel Tokarchuk, was also taken to hospital and pronounced dead. He had been serving a life sentence for second-degree murder with no set date for parole eligibility.
Corrections officials have not indicated what may have been the cause of death for either inmates.
