A Reindeer Lake woman is pleading for any information surrounding the recent death of her husband.
Dominic Morin’s body was found in the northern community in early September. RCMP quickly ruled his death a homicide, but no suspects have been arrested and police say the investigation is ongoing.
Dominic’s wife, Belinda Morin, is organizing a walk in the community on Thursday calling for justice.
“It’s been hard not knowing who did this to him,” said Morin. “We would like to ask, as a family, if anyone out there knows anything to let the police know.”
Belinda described the 33-year-old Dominic as a respectful man who loved his children. He was a father to five children.
“He was always joking and would never hurt anybody,” said Morin. “He was always working to provide for his family.”
The “Justice for Dominic” walk will see members of the community join Morin in a walk from where Dominic’s body was found to the police station.
Morin says the support from the community has been tremendous, both for the walk and helping her cope with the loss of her husband.
“They are helping me cope with dealing with the loss of my husband and the fact we don’t know who did this,” she said. “Any information that anyone has would be helpful.”
The RCMP say they couldn’t get into specifics of the case, but ensured MBC the investigation was ongoing.
