Ochapowace, Saskatchewan’s Ethan Bear will make his NHL debut with the Edmonton Oilers tonight when they host the Nashville Predators.
The 20-year-old defenceman has recorded 16 points in 34 games this season with the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL.
Bear won a WHL championship with the Seattle Thunderbirds in 2017. He had 70 points in 67 games with the Thunderbirds last season. Bear also tallied 26 points in 17 playoff games with Seattle in 2017.
Prior to joining the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL, Bear played Midget AAA with the Yorkton Harvest.
Bear was selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers.
