Saskatoon police say two more people in the city were taken to hospital for treatment from suspected overdoses last night.

Police say it is not yet known if these incidents are related to the overdoses from this past weekend, but police are continuing to investigate both.

At last word, the condition of both victims was not known.

It follows news earlier today that a 25-year-old woman who was in hospital as a result of an overdose on the weekend has passed away.

She was found unresponsive Saturday morning in a home in the 300 block of Avenue W North. A 48-year-old woman was found dead in the same home — one of two overdose deaths in the city on the weekend.

The Saskatoon Police Service is reminding members of the public that may have purchased cocaine that they can turn it into police at the Service Centre so it can be properly disposed of.

Police are repeating their message that they are interested in the health and safety of the public, not in the laying of criminal charges.

However, to date, no one has turned in any drugs to police.
