The Canoe Lake Young Guns took home the senior contact title at the FSIN Adult Hockey Championships this past weekend in Saskatoon.
Canoe Lake beat the Ochapowace Thunder 8-1 in the final.
Stanley Mission beat Mistawasis 3-2 to win the recreation 1 title, James Smith came out on top in the recreation 2 finale when they skated past Standing Buffalo 5-2, the Opaw Stars earned the legends crown with a 6-2 win over Sandy Lake and PAGC beat Onion Lake 5-2 in the masters finale.
Meantime, in the women’s division, Cote beat the La Ronge LadyNiners 10-6 in the final to claim the title.
Organizers say there were 86 teams in this weekend’s tournament, playing a combined 168 games over three days.
