A 32-year-old male from the Big River First Nation is recovering in hospital from injuries sustained from an assault Thursday evening.
RCMP say they responded to an assault report at around 7 PM and discovered the male victim had sustained serious injuries.
The victim was transported to hospital in Shelbrook for treatment and then further transported to hospital in Saskatoon, where he remains.
Big River RCMP have a 33-year-old male from Big River First Nation in custody related to this incident.
The investigation continues and charges have not been laid.
