RCMP major crimes are investigating after a man was found dead in a slough near the Onion Lake Cree Nation.
RCMP says the man’s body was found submerged in a slough along Nine Mile Road, just 1 kilometre south of Chief Taylor Road.
Authorities are considering the death to be suspicious.
Major crimes and a forensic unit from North Battleford are assisting the Onion Lake detachment in the investigation.
Investigators say they are trying to determine how and when the man died and became submerged in the slough.
RCMP say they have identified the man and are in the process of notifying the next of kin.
