Tributes are being offered following the death of Hatchet Lake First Nation elder Angus Tsannie.
Tsannie is being remembered for his work in helping to negotiate land claims in the north, serving as a senator on the Prince Albert Grand Council, for his passion for traditional on-the-land activities and knowledge.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
Tsannie was 84.
