Spritwood RCMP say they have charged several area residents with drug-related offences.
On May, 31 police raided a home on the Witchekan Lake First Nation, arresting 28-year-old Chris Scott and 31-year-old Adrianne Scott. Both are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana). They have been released and will appear in court in July.
On June 2, during a traffic stop, three people were arrested for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) over 30 grams. Lonestar Bill, 18, from Pelican Lake First Nation, 18-year-old Jayde Pelly of Saskatoon and another male youth will appear in court in July on that charge.
On June 3, while conducting a traffic stop, police arrested three people and charged them with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine). Akeyta Bill, 18, and 25-year-old Leah Bill, both from Pelican Lake First Nation, and a female youth will appear in court in July.
On June 5, RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on the Witchekan Lake First Nation. Dwight Witchekan, 19, was arrested and charged with trafficking and possession (marijuana) and weapons offences. He will appear in court in August.
