The federal and provincial governments have announced $6.7 million in funding for affordable housing.
The money will be used to help create more than 53 affordable housing units in seven communities.
Officials say $2.54 million will be going to the Town of La Ronge for 10 affordable rental units for seniors.
Pinehouse will be getting $1.1 million for nine rental housing units for families in Pinehouse Lake.
About $640,000 will be used in La Loche for six rental housing units for single-parent families.
In Prince Albert, about $612,500 will be used for six units for individuals with complex needs and mental illness.
Gabriel Housing Corporation in Regina will receive $570,000 for families with complex needs who require support services to live independently.
The Battleford Indian and Métis Friendship Centre will receive $500,000 for an eight-unit co-housing project for homeless people.
