A man faces a number of charges after a gun incident on the Peepeekisis First Nation Wednesday afternoon.
File Hills First Nations police say they responded to a call of a man making threats with a gun at the Peepeekisis Medical Centre about 3:30 p.m.
Officers say the man exited the medical centre, rifle in hand, where he was engaged in conversation by police.
Police eventually used pepper spray on the man and he was taken into custody.
They say no one was shot in the incident but one woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Thirty-eight-year-old Patrick Charles Bird is charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, resisting arrest and careless use of a firearm.
He is due to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Friday.
