The La Ronge Ice Wolves have acquired 20-year-old goalie Daniel Davidson from the Surrey Eagles (BCHL) in exchange for the CJHL playing rights to 20-year-old defenceman Egan Wolford and future considerations.
Davidson, who is from Surrey, was in his fifth season with the Eagles. He appeared in six games this season and recorded a 4.75 goals-against average and .877 save percentage.
With Davidson now in the fold, the Ice Wolves crease is still crowded. Merek Pipes and Jordan Frey are the other netminders currently with La Ronge at the moment. Chad Duran has been released.
The Ice Wolves also released 18-year-old forward Nico Hemming.
Meantime, the Ice Wolves are back in action tonight (Wednesday) at home when they take on the Weyburn Red Wings at the Mel Hegland Uniplex. Puck drop is slated for 7:30 p.m.
