A 41-year-old man from White Bear First Nation is facing several impaired driving and firearm related charges after a Drug Recognition Expert test this past Wednesday.

Carlyle RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible drug-impaired driver at around 1:45 p.m.

The vehicle was stopped near Arcola, Saskatchewan and the only occupant was tested by a Drug Recognition Expert RCMP member.

The test supported an impaired driving charge and law enforcement searched the vehicle and found an illegally altered firearm which is believed to have been stolen.

Lindsay Cote has been charged with offences including unsafe storage of a firearm, defacing a serial number on a firearm, impaired driving and driving while prohibited.

Cote was scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court today.
