It’s a big week for the La Ronge Ice Wolves on and off the ice.
When the Ice Wolves take on the Notre Dame Hounds Thursday at home and the Melville Millionaires Friday at the Mel Hegland Uniplex, La Ronge will wear special pink jerseys.
The jerseys will be auctioned off at the Back the Pack Dinner on Saturday at the JRMCC, which features former NHLer P.J. Stock. Part of the proceeds will go toward breast cancer research.
Prior to the dinner on Saturday night, the Ice Wolves will be hosting a charity hockey game at the Mel, which begins at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Donations collected at the game will be given to the Early Childhood Intervention Program.
The Ice Wolves are also celebrating parents’ weekend, so family members of the players will be making the trek from all over North America to take part in the festivities.
